A car was passing by
Ole Marius Jørgensen
Influenced by the work of the mid century painter Hopper and the directors Alfred Hitchcock, David Lynch, as well as 19th Century painting traditions of David Caspar Frederic, his work often depicts ordinary situations infused with a unique narrative that unlocks an unexpected mystery that feels both old and new.
This particular work is framed with an authentic, golden frame which is a part of the art work. The frame has had a long life and was stored in Villa Fredheim until now, when it is destined to follow the photographic scene “As a car was driving by”.
Ole Marius Jørgensen is an artist with a background in film based in Asker, Norway.
Palazzo – via transparente
Ingrid Louise Lindemann
This painting started as a quiet, horizontal view and then a coast line was slowly added. The artist moved from Norway to Italy and it was in this chapter of her life a buliding raised itself by the sea. Below the sky. A Palace. A change of time.
Ingrid Louise Lindemann is an artist and a graphic designer based in Perinaldo, Italy and Oslo and Blommenholm, Norway.
Løv for evig I
Mette Lorentzen
She paints the summer in the past tense. In her studio you find glass vases and ceramic jugs where the moments from last summer are preserved. Dried, botanical forms, seed capsules, stems with curly petals and flower crowns in late summer colours. Just for long enough to paint them when falls arrive and winter puts a white blanket across the plants in her garden.
Mette Lorentzen is an artist based in Oslo Norway, she studied at The Acadamy in Oslo and St. Petersburg.
Fenomen
Jorunn Westad
Jorunn finds her drive by examining the physical as well as the psychological aspects of forces. The forces found in nature, in rainy clouds, the darkness of the ocean, the uplifting air of the sky. It is a certain ambiguity in her paintings. To paint the light she works intensly with the darker sides of the painting and she also mix sand to give the art work a rough texture.
In the series “Forces” she paints landscapes – at the same time abstract and extremely recognizable. The absence of buildings are however striking for everyone that knows Jorunn as an architect. Perhaps I am in one of her constructions looking out at a view?
Jorunn is an artist and an architect based at Hvasser, Norway.
Natt I
Cecilie E. Åserud
She walks at nightfall. Does she capture the light or the darkness in her photos? Is this an image of a place or an atmosphere?
Cecilie lives in my neighbourhood. I know where she has been walking. Though this compositions is more like an abstract painting to me with its sparse use of colours, geometric shapes and archaic lines.
Cecilie is a graphic designer and photograph based at Blommenholm, Norway

Henriette Roka-Aardal
In 2020 Henriette put an outdoor pop-up exhibition.. Birds were quietly flying across the canvases she had placed under the apple trees in her garden. The leaves and branches through shadows in the bright summer light. And from then on Henriette captured leaves with her brush and the birds continued to forever soar in the apple trees. In her painting “ “ she has put some golden points that glimmers as the sunlight. A little secret touch from her career as a gilder.
Henriette is an artist based at Røyken, Norway
Landskap
Thomas Nesland Olsen
The moments we unconsciously capture in life. Brief glimpses. Experiences through colours, sents, light. If we share this fragment of time with someone or interpret it alone. Every season is filled with such moments. In the painting “Landscape” Thomas tapped one of these seconds from a walk in the woods.
Instinctive
Eva Sjøwall
Eva loves to explore various methods and ways of surprising herself with new techniques. She experiments and works on different styles and projects simultanously. This particular work is an ink drawing on paper. Made with a large brush. It gives an association of over sized calligraphic lettering, The red spot however gives a sudden impression of a landscape. North? South? Inside?
Eva says herself “My approach to the creative process is based on the notion “Meetings are chemistry”. We are all surrounded by chemistry in our daily lives. The experience of encounters between people depends on chemistry, as well as the encounters between different materials depends on chemestry.”
Eva is an artist and graphic designer based at Blommenholm, Norway. Her educations is from Art Schools in Sweden and Norway.

Benedicte Pedersen
Benedicte works with the abstraction of shapes and the translucency of colours. As an enlargement in a microscope. Looking closely at lifes inner pattern. She graduated from DTK School of Art in Bærum in 2020 with a delayed degree show this year. She use acrylic when she paints and make drawings with arcrylic, ink and pen on paper. Constantly looking for an organic approach to variate the forms.
